Family Circus! (drop-in) $50 per classPurchase required to enroll

Open to ages 2.5 - adult, Family Circus aims to bring the joy of circus arts to the whole family! Appropriate for all families--young and old! At Gravity Alternative Movement Youth Circus School Break Program, your child will have fun in a safe environment while learning aerial, acrobatic and other circus skills, and gaining strength, balance, flexibility & focus. All levels welcome; students will be grouped by skill level where appropriate. The program encourages participants to work creatively & collaboratively. Participation boosts confidence, communication, self-esteem, physical fitness, and performance skills. We maintain a low student : teacher ratio, along with trained assistants, to support safety, supervision, & fun!

Workshop Series: Tumbling Clinic with Lauren Davidson $40 per classPurchase required to enroll

Tumbling Mini-Series

Want to brush up on your tumbling skills or learn some new ones? This fall we'll be offering a mini-series of tumbling workshops on the third Sunday of each month. We'll cover a range of tumbling skills depending on student background and skill level. In October, our focus will be on cartwheel-based skills, such as basic cartwheels, one-arm cartwheels, and roundoffs. In November, we'll work on tumbling skills that move through handstand, and in December, we'll take on dynamic skills, including practicing hurdling mechanics and drills for handsprings, as appropriate. Workshops are open to students at a variety of skill levels, but you should feel comfortable attempting a cartwheel and forward roll unassisted. Students are welcome to come one or two of the workshops or the whole series.

Workshop 2019/Nov-10: Kinstretch for Hip Mobility with Andrea Kushman & Michelle Lewis $65 per classPurchase required to enroll

  • Do you have a pretty good split or straddle on the floor but then it looks like a pizza slice when inverted?
  • Are you a bendy person but not able to maintain those bendy shapes for very long, either in the air or in positions with a partner?
  • Do you get nagging hamstring, front hip pinching/snapping or low back issues when training splits, straddles, or other hip-dominate skills?
  • Are you frustrated that after much effort, you are not seeing much progress with increasing your range of motion or that the progress you made does not last long-term?
  • Would you like to know how to unlock your hips by training external and internal rotation for better straddle and split positions?

If yes to any or all, this class is for you! This class is for all levels and will benefit the less bendy as well as the very bendy humans, to be able to safely hold and control our best poses on the ground and in the air. Learn how to apply the Kinstretch approach to making happy and healthy hips!
